Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an ESS Technology Specialist 4 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit.

You will analyze performance, support IT and security systems, and coordinate with customers, vendors, and engineers to ensure secure, reliable operations across federal, local, and commercial customers. Responsibilities include hands-on configuration, lab testing, on-site support post deployment, and ongoing R&D of security technologies.

Qualifications

• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; ACTIVE TOP SECRET Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI is REQUIRED
• Experience in installing, troubleshooting and/or testing electronic security systems is highly valued.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
• Provide support to the system administration and engineering team using advanced networking and system administration skills to troubleshoot systems and operating systems.
• Communicate with customers, manufacturers, vendors and system administrators.
• Train system users and other system support personnel.
• Analyze and modify preventive maintenance checklists for system changes.
• Troubleshoot system performance issues and implement corrective actions.
• Organize and prepare detailed documentation of system performance, including service request records and analysis.
