Job summary

M.C. Dean seeks a Tech Specialist 2 in its Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit to analyze and improve system performance, support engineering teams, and troubleshoot complex electronic security networks.

The role involves on-site deployment, coordination with field personnel, and occasional travel. Applicants should have strong experience in security systems, networking, and system administration, with flexibility for nights/weekends and readiness to obtain a public trust.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with extensive installation/troubleshooting experience in electronic security systems.
• Associates degree with several years of field experience is acceptable.
• Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS as required.
• Flexible schedule including some nights and weekends.
• U.S. Citizenship or ability to obtain a public trust is required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
• Provide support to system administration and engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot networking and OS issues across multiple platforms.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and SOW documents; coordinate with field personnel.
• Conduct on-site system support post deployment and ensure design efficiency.
