Job summary

Diversified is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead ESS project design from concept through construction. You will coordinate with Solutions Architects and the Director of Engineering to deliver compliant, high‑quality designs for complex security systems.

You will mentor junior engineers, develop drawings in AutoCAD and Revit, and manage client expectations across regions while ensuring schedule and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering efforts within ESS domains such as access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection.
• Strong understanding of system integration, project engineering processes, and field-to-office feedback loops.
• Skilled in process improvement methodologies, technical governance, and cross-functional coordination.
• Effective communicator with the ability to engage internal teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret performance data, identify trends, and drive strategic improvements.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and lead engineering teams in a dynamic and evolving environment.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and coordinating enterprise‑level technology training.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills with a focus on operational efficiency and documentation quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop specifications, designs, budgets, timelines and manage client expectations with the Design Engineering team.
• Conceptualize system designs and determine system requirements.
• Lead multi-region projects with strong project engineering expertise.
• Draft/model security floor layouts for access control, video, intrusion, and gate systems.
• Develop BOM and documentation for customer RFPs.
• Create detailed 30%, 60%, 90%, 100% IFC or Shop Drawings via AutoCAD and Revit.
• Research, identify, and recommend technology options for clients.
• Perform QC by reviewing drawings and proposing design changes.
