Job summary

Diversified, a global leader in audiovisual and media technology, seeks a Senior Design Engineer to lead design efforts within the Electronic Security Systems group. You’ll guide projects from concept through construction documentation, ensuring client requirements are met and solutions integrate across disciplines.

You’ll mentor Design Engineers, collaborate with Solutions Architects and the Director of ESS Engineering, and travel to active job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering efforts within ESS domains such as access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
• Strong understanding of system integration, project engineering processes, and field-to-office feedback loops.
• Skilled in process improvement methodologies, technical governance, and cross-functional coordination.
• Effective communicator with the ability to engage internal teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret performance data, identify trends, and drive strategic improvements.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and lead engineering teams in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to complex engagements and work with clients and the Design Engineering team to develop specifications, designs, budgets, timelines and manage expectations.
• Conceptualize system designs and determine system requirements.
• Lead multi-region projects with strong technical project management.
• Draft/model security floor layouts for access control, video, intrusion, and related systems.
• Develop BOMs and support documentation for customer RFPs.
• Produce detailed 30/60/90/100% IFC and Shop Drawings via AutoCAD and Revit.
• Research and recommend technology options for clients.
• Perform QC, propose design changes, and ensure drawings meet scope and quality.
• Engage in client interaction and contribute to project P&L performance.
