Job summary
Compunnel Inc. is seeking an experienced GIS web application specialist to lead ESRI-based development efforts in Hartford, CT. You will design intuitive interfaces, integrate geospatial data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, GIS or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years of ESRI web application development experience.
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, or TypeScript.
- Strong GIS concepts, spatial data management, and geospatial app development.
- Experience integrating GIS data and services into enterprise apps.
- Experience testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Build intuitive, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces to enhance user experience.
- Integrate GIS data, mapping services, and geospatial functionality into enterprise web apps.
- Collaborate with GIS analysts, developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Perform testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including design specs and user guides.
- Implement RESTful API integrations and web services for GIS functionality.
- Participate in all SDLC phases from design to maintenance.
- Support production issues, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow software engineering best practices and Agile methodologies.
