Job summary

Esri is seeking an Application Developer to join our Geo Experience Center team. You will build prototype applications to explore digital cartography, advanced map visualizations, and web-based GIS experiences using JavaScript, TypeScript, and ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript.

You will work in a diverse team on thought-leadership demos and prototypes, applying Esri's geospatial technology to real-world use cases and customer needs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience developing web applications using JavaScript (TypeScript preferred).
• Experience with modern web frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or Svelte.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain prototype applications and proofs of concept using JavaScript, TypeScript, and ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of user experiences for web applications, cartographic visualizations, and interactive map-based workflows.
• Assist in prototyping and experimenting with novel web-based maps, scenes, and spatial data visualizations.
• Work with modern web application frameworks to build targeted, stand-alone web applications and reusable UI components.
• Collaborate with core development and SDK teams during release sprints, providing feedback on APIs and developer experience.
• Explore and apply emerging web visualization capabilities, including WebGL and real-time rendering.
• Evolve coding skills by staying current with JavaScript, TypeScript, and related technologies.
