Job summary

New River Electrical Corporation is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to lead the ERM program and oversee insurance, claims, surety, and contract-risk functions. The role reports to the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and may be based in Strongsville, OH or Granville, OH.

You will supervise a small Risk and Insurance team, drive enterprise risk initiatives, and coordinate with senior leadership to embed risk management into strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive risk management experience.
• At least 2 years of direct supervisory or team-leadership experience.
• Construction, electrical, or industrial-sector experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the ERM program and report to senior leadership.
• Lead captive insurance feasibility study and coordinate with actuaries and internal stakeholders.
• Own and administer the company’s insurance, claims, and surety programs.
• Oversee claims management and coordinate with carriers and third-party admins.
• Review contracts for insurance, indemnification, and risk allocation provisions.
• Supervise the Risk and Insurance team and mentor staff.
