Job summary

NC State University’s Ergonomics Center seeks an experienced Ergonomist or Senior Ergonomist to provide ergonomics consulting, training, and applied research support across NC and beyond. You will lead projects, develop client relationships, deliver training, and contribute to state-of-the-art laboratories.

The role involves 20-40% travel and offers opportunities to mentor junior staff, collaborate with regulators and researchers, and advance Center initiatives for safer, more productive

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field with 3 years field experience for Ergonomist; Master degree in Ergonomics or related field with 1 year field experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field plus 6 years field experience for Senior Ergonomist; Master’s in ergonomics plus 4 years field experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide ergonomics consultation to employers and employees across varied environments.
• Lead consulting projects and coordinate resources under guidance.
