Job summary

North Carolina State University is seeking a Sr. Employee Relations Consultant to provide strategic consultation to staff, faculty, and administrators, promoting a positive work environment and resolving workplace concerns before they escalate.

The role emphasizes risk mitigation and training to campus units on employee relations issues. The position focuses on performance management, engagement, grievance and mediation programs, with opportunities to lead cross-unit initiatives and partner with

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 2+ years experience in Human Resources with a focus in Employee Relations.
Experience managing complex and sensitive employee relations matters and conducting workplace investigations.
Ability to interpret regulations and communicate implications to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced level strategic consultation to staff, faculty, and administrators.
Support an engaged work environment and resolve workplace problems before escalation.
Advise managers on performance concerns and corrective actions to ensure compliance.
Lead programs in performance management, engagement, grievance, and mediation.
