Job summary

NC State College of Engineering's Ergonomics Center seeks an Ergonomist or Senior Ergonomist to provide expert ergonomics consultation to diverse workplaces across North Carolina and beyond. You will lead projects, mentor staff, and contribute to applied research in partnership with NC State University.

The role offers opportunities for collaboration with researchers, regulatory officials, and industry partners, with travel and a state-of-the-art facility supporting training and client services.

Qualifications

• Ergonomist requires Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 3 years field experience or Master’s with 1 year experience.
• Senior Ergonomist requires Bachelor’s degree with 6 years or Master’s with 4 years field experience.
• Experience assessing physical work areas using standard evaluation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide ergonomics consultation to employers and employees across varied environments.
• Lead consulting projects and coordinate resources under guidance.
• Deliver Center training classes and develop client proposals.
• Build Center membership and client base through meetings, seminars and workshops.
• Create training materials ensuring technical accuracy and professional quality.
• Manage students in the Ergonomics Services area and provide direction.
