The Ergonomics Center of North Carolina (Center) is a membership-based organization housed within the Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at North Carolina State University. Founded in 1994, the Center was created to make workplaces safer, more productive, and more competitive by providing practical, cost-effective ways to reduce or eliminate musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). The Center provides occupational ergonomics consulting, training programs and research for corporations, facilities, and individuals to support and enhance a company’s ergonomics efforts. Each service is tailored to meet an organization’s specific ergonomic needs and corporate goals. With extensive experience in ergonomics research, consulting, and training, the center helps in managing ergonomics and minimizing ergonomic risk factors in today’s work environments.

Based on your qualifications and experience, you will be hired either as an Ergonomist or Senior Ergonomist. You will lead consulting projects, deliver training, develop client relationships, support students, and contribute to applied research through NC State University’s state-of-the-art Ergonomics Laboratories. As a Senior Ergonomist, you will provide expert ergonomics consultation to employers and employees across a wide range of business and industry settings. You will lead consulting projects, develop client relationships, contribute to applied research, and help advance the Center’s ergonomics services and programs. This role offers the opportunity to apply your technical expertise while collaborating with professionals, researchers, regulatory officials, and industry partners across North Carolina and the United States.
