Job summary

KeyBank is seeking an Equity Originator - Sr Relationship Manager in Community Development Lending and Investment (CDLI) to originate, structure, and negotiate LIHTC investments. This role sources opportunities, builds client relationships, and supports growth of KeyBank's national affordable housing platform with regional market responsibilities.

This position requires 5+ years LIHTC experience, strong deal structuring skills, and collaboration with credit, legal, CRA and risk teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of LIHTC investment experience.
• Ability to structure and negotiate affordable housing loans.
• Experience with community development lending programs (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD).

Responsibilities

• Originate and manage a portfolio of LIHTC investments and affordable housing projects.
• Develop and maintain relationships with nonprofit organizations, CDFIs, housing developers, and public-sector partners.
• Develop regional marketing strategies for LIHTC clients and opportunities.
• Cross-sell banking products and CRA-qualified solutions.
• Collaborate with credit, legal, compliance, CRA, and risk teams to structure deals.
• Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape in affordable housing finance.
