Job summary

First Solar, Inc. seeks a skilled technician to support equipment installation, qualification, and maintenance on the production line in Ohio. You will troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing issues, log data, and implement improvements to yield and product performance.

The role requires a high school diploma or higher, with preferred technical degrees and hands-on experience in semiconductor or related processes. On-site work with travel for onboarding may be required.

Qualifications

• Safety first mindset on the production floor.
• Extensive verifiable electrical/electronic and mechanical knowledge.
• Hands-on troubleshooting/repair skills across equipment.
• Certified to operate, maintain and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with similar electro-mechanical machinery preferred.
• Self-directed with minimal supervision and good communication.
• Able to document and improve ongoing processes.

Responsibilities

• Solve day-to-day production, equipment, and process problems.
• Perform on-site service and repair of equipment.
• Identify yield and product performance improvements.
• Complete daily assignments; rotate across buildings weekly.
• Set up gauges and ensure Process Control Plan targets.
• Respond to SPC alarms and analyze experimental results.
• Train production associates and update procedures.
