First Solar, Inc. is seeking an on-site Maintenance/Technician role to support installation, qualification and ongoing service of manufacturing equipment on the production line. Candidates should have a HS diploma plus technical experience and strong troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities include electrical/mechanical diagnostics, equipment maintenance, yield improvements, and training production staff. Travel is minimal, with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One of the following: Associates degree in a technical discipline; two+ years machine/mechanic experience; one year First Solar technical experience; six months EMT experience with rating 5+.
• Verifiable electrical, electronic and mechanical knowledge; hands-on troubleshooting abilities.
• Safety‑driven, self-directed with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Solve day-to-day production, equipment, and process problems.
• Perform on-site service and repair of equipment.
• Identify and implement yield and product performance improvements.
• Complete daily assignments as scheduled and directed.
• Develop methods to assign causes to yield excursions.
• Set up and maintain gauges.
• Ensure processes run on target as defined by the Process Control Plan.
• Respond to SPC alarms and bring processes back into control.
• Execute planned process experiments and analyze results.
• Collect data on tool and product performance; transition new equipment through start‑up and implementation.
• Provide training to production associates and update SOPs and process docs.
• Interface with internal and supplier teams to complete projects.
• Maintain communication within the manufacturing team and adhere to safety standards.
