Job summary

First Solar is seeking a skilled technician to assist in installing and qualifying manufacturing equipment in our Kentucky facility. You will support engineering test activities and monitor dashboards to determine corrective actions on day-to-day operations.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with 4+ years of mechanical/electrical experience or equivalent FS EMT I/MET I/MT I, and safety-focused hands-on troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Four+ years mechanical, electrical or process technician experience as a primary job function, or two+ years experience as FS EMT I or MET I or MT I.
• Journeyman or other trade certification strongly preferred in lieu of post-HS degree.
• Associates (2-year) degree in a technical discipline with relevant experience.
• Bachelors (4-year) degree in an engineering/technical discipline with related experience.

Responsibilities

• Solves day-to-day production, equipment, and process problems.
• Performs on-site service and repair of equipment.
• Identifies and implements yield and product performance improvements.
• Shifts will rotate between buildings; duties include setup, calibration, and documentation.
• Provides training to production associates and maintains internal documentation.
