ASM is seeking a Senior Equipment Engineering Technician in Phoenix to support advanced semiconductor manufacturing and R&D operations. Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with complex equipment, high-precision tools, automation systems, or semiconductor equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for electro-mechanical and microprocessor-controlled systems.
• Ability to read mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PIDs.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on thermal and plasma ALD equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and automation issues on semiconductor equipment.
• Monitor tool status, alarms, and performance; escalate and resolve issues.
• Support installation, modification, qualification, and commissioning of new equipment and facility upgrades.
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve hardware and process challenges.
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Interpret drawings and diagrams to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Maintain documentation of maintenance activities and findings.
• Assist with spare parts, consumables, and chemical inventory management.
