Job summary

ASM is seeking a Global Product Support Engineer to join the ALD team in Phoenix. You will act as a system-level expert, working closely with hardware, electrical, controls, process and software teams to ensure new ALD products meet performance and reliability goals.

You will own the first build and test in development labs, document best practices, and guide Alpha/Beta deployments with a focus on rapid issue resolution and strong customer confidence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 5+ years of semiconductor equipment experience.
• System-level engineering mindset and cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to travel 25–50% and communicate effectively with engineers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Act as system-level technical expert supporting new product development.
• Partner with Hardware, Electrical, Controls, Process and Software engineering teams.
• Influence designs for serviceability, manufacturability and preventive maintenance.
• Own first build and test of new products in development labs; identify issues and propose solutions.
• Develop and document best-known methods for service, maintenance and repair.
• Lead Alpha and Beta deployments; drive fab readiness, installation and production qualification.
• Serve as primary owner of customer issues during Alpha/Beta phases; ensure rapid resolution.
