Job summary

Turner Mining Group is seeking a Lead Equipment Operator to advance supervisory leadership, train crew members as an SME, and support Foreman duties. The role emphasizes safe production, equipment knowledge, and proactive problem solving on site.

The position requires minimum mining experience, strong communication, and adherence to Turner safety standards, with travel to new or existing sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years’ experience in mining / heavy industry preferred.
• Willingness to adhere to OSHA/MSHA regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Attention to detail is required for safety and quality.
• Proven safety and disciplinary record is valued.
• Flexible on daily job duty requirements and shift schedules.
• Must pass and maintain Turner Mining Group mobile equipment qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile equipment daily based on production needs.
• Assist with training other crew members as an SME.
• Support supervisory duties for Foreman as needed.
• Lead safety and risk assessments and identify hazards.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards on machines and work areas.
• Participate in client safety needs and near-miss reporting.
