Job summary

Turner Mining Group seeks a Lead Equipment Operator to advance supervisory leadership, operate mobile equipment, and supervise safety practices on site. The role includes training crew members, supporting Foreman tasks, and maintaining high production quality.

You will model Turner Values and focus on Safe Production while ensuring efficient operations. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in mining/heavy industry, hands-on equipment qualifications, and a proven record of safety,

Qualifications

• Microsoft Office proficiency and regulatory compliance must be demonstrated.
• 5-10 years’ experience in mining / heavy industry preferred.
• Working knowledge of safety systems and processes.
• Appropriate attention to detail is required.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile equipment daily based on production needs.
• Identify hazards and engage crews to maintain safety and accuracy.
• Lead training efforts and mentor other operators.
• Assist with MSHA trainings and maintain compliance.
• Support site leadership with processes, KPIs, and reporting.
• Ensure housekeeping and equipment care standards are met.
