Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking an experienced Equipment Manager to oversee budgeting, scheduling, and field operations for heavy equipment on EPC projects in the United States. You will supervise mechanics and staff, coordinate with site leadership, and drive on-time project execution.

The role requires 6–8 years in equipment management, knowledge of OSHA/DOT regulations, ERP systems like Vista Viewpoint, and strong communication and analytical skills to optimize utilization and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years' experience in equipment management with an EPC Contractor.
• Experience managing heavy equipment fleets in civil, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure.
• Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations related to equipment operations.
• Knowledge of Vista Viewpoint or similar ERP software is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Manage equipment budget and cost tracking for project.
• Coordinate with site Operations, Scheduling and Site Leadership on all equipment needs.
• Manage daily allocation and deployment of heavy equipment, tools, and fleet assets.
• Supervise mechanics, equipment coordinators, yard personnel, and support staff.
• Coordinate equipment scheduling to meet project timelines and operational needs.
• Monitor equipment utilization rates and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce idle time.
• Oversee mobilization and demobilization of equipment to and from site.
• Maintain accurate fleet inventory records including ownership, location, hours, inspections, and maintenance history.
• Coordinate field repairs with internal mechanics and vendors to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment condition and operator practices.
• Support incident investigations involving equipment or fleet operations.
• Ensure timely completion of inspections, servicing, and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with the accounting department through Vista Viewpoint to approve outstanding rental invoices and resolve any payment issues.
