Job summary

CoVolt Power in Texas is seeking an experienced Equipment Manager to lead the heavy equipment fleet on EPC projects. You will supervise mechanics and field staff, manage budgets, coordinate scheduling, and ensure timely mobilization and demobilization.

This role requires 6–8 years in equipment management for an EPC contractor, knowledge of OSHA/DOT regulations, and proficiency with Vista Viewpoint or similar ERP software. Strong leadership, communication, and data analysis skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years’ experience in equipment management with an EPC Contractor.
• Experience managing heavy equipment fleets in civil, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure.
• Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations related to equipment operations.
• Knowledge of Vista Viewpoint or similar ERP software is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office(Word, Excel, Teams).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to achieve project goals and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage equipment budget and cost tracking for project.
• Coordinate with siteOperations, Scheduling andSiteLeadership on all equipment needs.
• Manage daily allocation and deployment of heavy equipment, tools, and fleet assets.
• Supervise mechanics, equipment coordinators, yard personnel, and support staff.
• Coordinate equipment scheduling to meet project timelines and operational needs.
• Monitor equipment utilization rates and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce idle time.
• Oversee mobilization and demobilization of equipment to and from site.
• Maintain accurate fleet inventory records including ownership, location, hours, inspections, and maintenance history.
• Coordinate field repairs with internal mechanics and vendors to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment condition and operator practices.
• Support incident investigations involving equipment or fleet operations.
• Ensure timely completion of inspections, servicing, and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with the accounting department through Vista Viewpoint to approve outstanding rental invoices and resolve any payment issues.
• This role may be required to perform other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned or as necessary to meet the needs of the organization and Equipment Department.
