Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking an Equipment Manager to oversee fleet operations for EPC projects across North America. You will coordinate with site Operations, Scheduling and Site Leadership to ensure equipment needs are met and downtime minimized.

Ideal candidates have 6-8 years in equipment management with an EPC Contractor, strong leadership, and experience with Vista Viewpoint or similar ERP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years’ experience in equipment management with an EPC Contractor.
• Experience managing heavy equipment fleets in civil, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure.
• Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations related to equipment operations.
• Knowledge of Vista Viewpoint or similar ERP software is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams).
• Field experience supervising personnel and delegating tasks.
• Ability to meet project goals and timelines.
• Strong analytical, mathematical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Knowledge of logistics, warehousing, equipment and inventory management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage equipment budget and cost tracking for project.
• Coordinate with site Operations, Scheduling and Site Leadership on all equipment needs.
• Manage daily allocation and deployment of heavy equipment, tools, and fleet assets.
• Supervise mechanics, equipment coordinators, yard personnel, and support staff.
• Coordinate equipment scheduling to meet project timelines and operational needs.
• Monitor equipment utilization rates and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce idle time.
• Oversee mobilization and demobilization of equipment to and from site.
• Maintain accurate fleet inventory records including ownership, location, hours, inspections, and maintenance history.
• Coordinate field repairs with internal mechanics and vendors to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment condition and operator practices.
• Support incident investigations involving equipment or fleet operations.
• Ensure timely completion of inspections, servicing, and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with the accounting department through Vista Viewpoint to approve outstanding rental invoices and resolve any payment issues.
• This role may be required to perform other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned or as necessary to meet the needs of the organization and Equipment Department.
