Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking an experienced Equipment Manager to oversee heavy equipment fleets on EPC projects in the United States, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and on-time project delivery.

You will coordinate with site operations, maintenance teams, and vendors to optimize equipment usage, manage budgets, and maintain detailed records of inspections and repairs across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of equipment management experience with an EPC contractor.
• Experience managing heavy equipment fleets across civil, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations related to equipment operations.
• Familiarity with Vista Viewpoint or similar ERP software is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams).
• Experience supervising personnel and delegating tasks on field projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage equipment budget and cost tracking for projects.
• Coordinate with site operations, scheduling and site leadership on equipment needs.
• Oversee daily allocation and deployment of heavy equipment, tools, and fleet assets.
• Supervise mechanics, equipment coordinators, yard personnel, and support staff.
• Coordinate equipment scheduling to meet project timelines and operational needs.
• Monitor equipment utilization and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce idle time.
• Oversee mobilization/demobilization of equipment to and from site.
• Maintain fleet inventory records including ownership, location, hours, inspections, and maintenance history.
• Coordinate field repairs with internal mechanics and external vendors to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment condition and operator practices.
• Support incident investigations involving equipment or fleet operations.
• Ensure timely completion of inspections, servicing, and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with accounting to approve rental invoices and resolve payment issues.
