Job summary

The LEMOINE workforce seeks an Equipment Fleet Manager – Logistics & Operations to lead fleet deployment, transportation planning, and vendor coordination across multiple infrastructure projects.

Ideal candidates bring strong construction equipment knowledge, logistics/dispatch experience, and leadership skills to optimize utilization, costs, and safety. This role reports to Infrastructure leadership and requires coordination with project teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 7 years in fleet, transportation, logistics, equipment-management, or construction operations with increasing responsibility.
• Leadership: Prior leadership or supervisory experience in fleet, logistics, dispatch, or equipment operations preferred.
• Experience: Heavy civil, infrastructure, or large-scale construction operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead fleet logistics planning and equipment deployment across multiple active infrastructure projects.
• Develop daily/weekly dispatch schedules based on project priorities and field needs.
• Coordinate movement, mobilization, demobilization, transfer, delivery and pickup of equipment.
• Manage transportation logistics for heavy and oversized equipment, including permits and routing.
• Oversee dispatch operations and maintain fleet-dispatch records; monitor GPS/telematics usage.
• Review project schedules to forecast equipment needs and allocate across projects.
• Monitor utilization and costs; provide recommendations to reduce idle time and rental days.
• Negotiate with vendors for favorable transportation and rental terms, ensuring safety and compliance.
