Job summary

First Equipment Company is seeking an experienced Equipment Operations Leader to optimize inventory, logistics, and lifecycle management across multiple construction sites in Philadelphia. You will ensure availability, safety, and cost-efficiency of tools, equipment, and fleet vehicles for field operations.

Lead procurement, maintenance scheduling, and asset tracking while coordinating with accounting, safety, and project teams to drive continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field with 8+ years of equipment or inventory management experience.
• Experience leading logistics or field support teams and coordinating labor, deliveries, and schedules.
• Knowledge of inventory controls, equipment lifecycle strategy, and construction site operations.
• Experience with vendor negotiations and contract management for tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee equipment inventory, logistics, and lifecycle operations across project sites with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Implement and manage equipment charge-out systems and rental programs per policy.
• Source vendors, negotiate contracts, and procure tools and equipment at scale.
• Coordinate delivery and pickup of equipment, including staging, inspections, and movement between sites.
• Develop and implement routine maintenance and preventive maintenance scheduling for safety and compliance.
• Track equipment utilization, fleet maintenance, and KPIs; report findings to leadership.
• Collaborate with field teams and departments to ensure operational continuity and compliance.
• Maintain ERP and asset records; ensure accurate transaction and maintenance logs.
