Job summary

Hulcher Services is seeking a Regional Fleet & Equipment Manager to oversee preventive maintenance, equipment performance, and vendor relationships across multiple sites. The role requires managing budgets and leading field operations to maximize uptime and reliability.

Travel approximately 50-75% within the region and ensure safety, compliance with DOT standards, and cost controls while supporting leadership in fleet optimization and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of fleet, heavy equipment, or mechanical management experience.
• At least 2 years managing multiple locations or regional operations.
• Experience leading maintenance teams and supporting field operations.
• Experience developing and managing maintenance budgets.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage preventive maintenance programs for heavy equipment across multiple divisions.
• Inspect equipment and review repair quality to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Monitor oil analysis reports, repair orders, and fleet performance metrics to reduce equipment downtime.
• Review purchase requisitions, repair invoices, and maintenance expenses for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure purchasing policies are followed, including vendor quotes and cost controls.
• Partner with Mechanical Service Managers and division leadership to improve fleet reliability.
• Monitor manufacturer specifications, warranty programs, and maintenance requirements.
• Assist with equipment procurement, parts sourcing, and vendor management.
• Develop and maintain maintenance budgets while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Investigate equipment failures and incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and transportation standards.
• Support field operations by maintaining safe, reliable, and mission-ready equipment.
