Abbott is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to lead design, development, and testing of software applications for Cancer Diagnostics. You will mentor juniors, engage with stakeholders, and drive quality with independent decisions.

The role requires Epic data model expertise, strong SQL, and experience with cloud frameworks. Based in the US with remote options and a strong learning environment at Abbott.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Engineering; or High School Diploma/General Education Degree and 4 years of relevant experience as outlined in the essential duties.
• Demonstrated experience with Epic’s data model and architecture, including Chronicles, Clarity, and Caboodle, their underlying data structures, and data extraction processes.
• Proficiency in SQL, including analyzing and troubleshooting data within Epic’s environments.
• Experience developing, reading, debugging, and maintaining MUMPS/Cache ObjectScript.
• Demonstrated experience designing and developing apps that access and/or utilize cloud-based frameworks (e.g., Azure, Amazon AWS Services/SDKs).
• Agile development tools, including JIRA, Confluence repository.
• Experience developing and supporting custom APIs and system integrations.
• Current or previously held Epic certification or accreditation in Beaker, Clarity, or Caboodle.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the country where work will be performed; no sponsorship.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design, development, and testing of software applications for Abbott Cancer Diagnostics.
• Mentor junior team members and communicate with business stakeholders.
• Make key decisions for the team to ensure application quality and productivity.
• Design data integration solutions using Epic Chronicles, Clarity, and Caboodle.
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to build robust APIs and integrations.
• Support the Quality Management System policies and procedures.
