Abbott is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead design, development, and testing of software for Cancer Diagnostics. You will mentor junior teammates and communicate status to stakeholders, with responsibility for application quality.

Based in Madison, WI or Redwood City, CA, you will contribute to complex projects, leverage OO programming, RESTful services, and cloud frameworks, and ensure robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills.
• Experience with RESTful services, SQL/ORM.
• Cloud-based frameworks (Azure/AWS).
• Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and testing of software applications for Abbott Cancer Diagnostics.
• Troubleshoot issues and bugs across major software applications.
• Mentor junior teammates and guide design decisions.
• Communicate plans and status updates with stakeholders.
