Job summary

UNC Health is seeking an IT professional to provide high-level technical support, development, testing, integration and implementation of applications and interfaces across the health system. The role focuses on supporting surgical services workflows using Epic OpTime and Anesthesia, with on-site go-lives across North Carolina and remote work when possible.

Epic OpTime/Anesthesia knowledge and certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related field (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).
• Four (4) years of IT systems and/or related operational experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Six (6) years of IT systems and/or related operational experience with an Associate’s degree.
• Eight (8) years of IT systems and/or related operational experience with a High School diploma or GED.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills. Ability to work well in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Assists other IT teams with selection and provides technical evaluation of products/tools to ensure proposed solution meets enterprise-wide requirements.
• Develops and maintains clear documentation describing program development and modification, and troubleshooting.
• Evaluates requests and designs for new or modified programs to determine feasibility and compatibility with current systems.
• Acts as a technical consultant to the health system and participates in system-wide initiatives to improve efficiency.
• Provides timely progress updates to management, customers and others on tasks, projects and issues.
