Job summary

University of Michigan is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support Epic OpTime and Anesthesia within the HITS CRC division. You will translate surgical workflows into Epic functionality, identify gaps, and implement solutions to support anesthesia, operating and procedure rooms.

The role involves collaboration with clinical staff, reporting, and ongoing system enhancements. The position requires Epic Certification or proficiency in OpTime/Anesthesia, familiarity with Clarity/Caboodle, and

Qualifications

BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of IT related experience.
Demonstrated ability to perform business/workflow analysis and document requirements.
Ability to facilitate investigation and resolution of development and project issues.
LEAN principals understanding and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
Ability to support multiple clinical and administrative user groups.

Responsibilities

Coordinate analysis, design, development, testing, validation and implementation of EMR modules for clinicians.
Coordinate issues for OpTime Anesthesia applications and align with organizational policies.
Understand pre-, intra-, and post-procedure workflows and related billing and patient experience considerations.
Maintain and enhance Epic OpTime/Anesthesia software; test and release new functionality.
Provide end-user training and troubleshooting support for the EMR system.
Collaborate with report writers to ensure necessary reporting.
