Job summary

Michigan Medicine seeks a Business Systems Analyst Sr to support anesthesia, OR, and related Epic OpTime modules. You will translate surgical workflows to Epic, identify gaps, and provide mutually agreeable solutions while maintaining end-user support and documentation.

The role requires Epic OpTime/Anesthesia familiarity, strong analytical ability, and the capacity to work with clinical staff across departments. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years IT related experience and ability to analyze workflows.
• Experience documenting requirements, scope, and SOPs.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• LEAN principles understanding and team collaboration.
• Willingness to share on-call responsibilities including evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate analysis, design, development, testing, validation, and implementation of EMR modules used by clinicians.
• Serve as primary support for OpTime Anesthesia applications and related workflows.
• Translate surgical workflows to Epic functionality and identify gaps.
• Maintain and enhance Epic software; prioritize changes and test releases.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure the system meets organizational needs.
• Provide end-user training and ongoing EMR support; troubleshoot issues.
