Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an IT professional for Pharmacy Applications with strong Epic platform experience. You will analyze business needs, translate requirements into system designs, and coordinate across clinical and IT teams.

A background in healthcare IT and 5 years in IT or clinical environments is preferred. The role offers full-time hours (40 per week) with a 8-5 schedule and potential after-hours work for go-live events.

Qualifications

• EPIC certification and proficiency with Epic and related applications.
• Strong ability to gather requirements and translate them into system specifications.
• Excellent communication with business users, health care staff and vendors.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops technical and/or non-technical solutions to moderate to complex business needs by gathering data, reviewing information, and coordinating development with IT staff.
• Assists with conversion and operational support planning across multiple projects; may manage training when applicable.
• Identify how requirements affect multiple application areas and coordinate solutions across teams to avoid conflicts.
• Provide high-level IT advisory on Epic platform capabilities; evaluate vendor offerings and maintain data integrity.
