Job summary

Vertek Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Epic Application Analyst for EPIC ASAP (ED software module) in a full-time capacity in Houston, TX. The role focuses on translating Epic system needs into technical solutions and providing ongoing Epic support across departments.

The ideal candidate will have EPIC certifications, 4+ years in an Epic workspace, and experience supporting emergency department environments, with strong analytical, planning and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

Epic Certification required.
4 years of experience in a large healthcare information systems environment or MIS.
Experience with Epic or other health information systems.
Experience in supporting complex problems.
Experience in mentoring other analysts.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Epic support, development tools and methodologies.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Translate user and department Epic system needs into technical solutions.
Conduct project reviews and walkthroughs incorporating technical, clinical and business considerations.
Provide technical support for Epic and other software applications and operating systems.
Perform analysis, design, build, test and implement Epic and related systems.
Promote standards for development, support and information management.
Provide after-hours support via rotating schedule and ongoing Epic end-user support.
Develop, prioritize and execute projects within schedule and timelines.
Document plans, priorities and schedules and report status to management.
