Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston seeks an Epic Application Analyst to advance the functionality and efficiency of Information Systems using Epic Applications. This role involves analysis, design, configuration, and implementation to ensure workflows effectively leverage Epic and integrated technologies.

You will provide ongoing analysis, consultation, problem-solving and training, reporting to an ISD manager.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred
• Epic Certification required
• 2 years of related experience in healthcare, education, or technology
• 3 years of experience in large, corporate MIS or similar healthcare systems analysis, design, build, test and implement
• Experience with Epic or other Health Information Systems is desirable
• Basic working knowledge of Epic or other EHR application support, development tools and methodologies
• Strong analytical and technical skills; good planning and organizational abilities; strong communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Translates customer requests into Epic and other software application solution specifications.
• Uses PC system development tools to develop and deploy queries, simple applications, moderately complex reports and other business solutions in Epic and related systems.
• Maintains detailed technical knowledge of assigned applications.
• Assists customers with optimizing their use of Epic applications.
• Participates in after-hours application support via rotating on-call schedule.
• With moderate supervision, sets priorities, understands Epic and other integrated applications, and answers technical questions and performance for all assigned tasks.
• Identifies issues and concerns and communicates them to Team Lead and/or Manager as appropriate.
• Develops options and recommendations.
• Provides training, support, and problem resolution to customers.
