Job summary

CMS Energy, Corp. is seeking a Principal EPC Project Manager to lead large, complex Renewables, Electric Distribution, Generation and Gas projects from conception to closeout.

You will direct large teams of engineers, contractors, and specialists to deliver projects on time and within budget. The role requires strong stakeholder communication, risk management, and a hands-on approach to project governance using PMI practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Applied Engineering or relevant field and 7+ years experience.
• Associate Degree in Applied Engineering or relevant field with 9+ years experience.
• HS Diploma or GED with 11+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage large project teams of employees and contractors.
• Oversee planning, design, bid and build of complex projects for utilities.
• Maintain project budgets and schedules; forecast expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with permits, regulatory, engineering and environmental standards.
• Develop and manage project KPIs and execution metrics.
• Communicate progress to stakeholders including leadership and regulators.
