Job summary

AES Corporation, based in Worcester, MA, seeks a Senior Preconstruction Project Manager to lead preconstruction activities for utility-scale renewable energy projects from development through execution readiness and EPC agreement completion.

You will collaborate with Development, Engineering, Estimating, Procurement, Construction, Finance, and external EPC contractors to set scope, cost, schedule, procurement, and risk strategies, influencing large-scale projects and sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
• Significant experience in renewable energy project development and preconstruction.
• Knowledge of EPC solicitation, bid evaluation, and cost reviews.
• Experience with utility-scale solar PV and battery storage is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction engagement and align scope, schedule, and deliverables.
• Assess maturity across permitting, interconnection, design, procurement, and constructability.
• Identify risks, develop mitigations, and communicate impacts clearly.
• Provide executive-ready reporting on milestones and dependencies.
• Support due diligence and due diligence for potential projects.
• Drive standardization and scalability across preconstruction and reporting.
