Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, seeks an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with heavy industrial power plant experience to lead complex projects in the United States.

You will develop project definitions, schedules, budgets, and manage costs to ensure profitability while coordinating with stakeholders and subcontractors. The role requires 13+ years of experience and PMI/CCM/DBIA certifications within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 13+ years of relevant work experience.
• PMI/CCM or DBIA certification required within 12 months of hire.
• Experience with design-build/EPC projects preferred.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling, and cost control capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Create project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives.
• Prepare statements of work with work breakdown structures and gain approvals.
• Manage project costs and profitability.
• Prepare client billings and ensure timely payments; review subcontractor invoices.
• Monitor project status and escalate risks as needed.
• Manage change using formal change protocols.
• Communicate deadlines and objectives to project teams.
• Develop overall project schedule and in-house budgets.
• Coordinate meetings with stakeholders.
• Provide guidance to engineering teams for code reviews.
• Coordinate submittals to agencies.
• Deliver on-time delivery of project deliverables.
• Mentor less experienced project managers.
• Travel up to 10%.
