Job summary

Primoris Power Solutions seeks a Senior EPC Project Manager to lead medium to large electric substation, transmission, and distribution EPC projects. You will manage scope, schedule, cost, safety, and quality following PMBOK, maintain client relationships, and provide strategic direction for project teams.

The role requires deep PM expertise, strong communication, and the ability to work in a dynamic, matrix environment with remote US-based teams. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in the utility industry with proven PM experience.
• 3+ years in EPC projects.
• PMP Certification.
• Detailed knowledge of project management fundamentals.
• Engineering theories and principles.
• MS Project and Primavera scheduling familiarity.
• Strong written communication skills for technical documents and invoices.
• Strong oral communication and presentations to diverse groups.
• High energy, fast-paced, action-oriented mindset.
• Proven ability to build internal/external relationships and navigate organizations.
• Commitment to achieving goals and plans.
• Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills.
• Negotiation and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of project accounting practices and financial systems.
• Familiarity with EPC, Fixed Price, T&M, Cost Plus, and Unit pricing.
• Ability to lead in a matrix organization and work with diverse individuals.
• Experience with transmission lines or HV substation projects.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and mentoring of other PM professionals.
• Manage project per Primoris Policies and Procedures.
• Maintain client and stakeholder relationships.
• Handle contract negotiations, change orders, submittals, and approvals.
• Implement change control and risk management processes.
• Oversee EH&S and Quality & Control programs for the project.
• Prepare estimates and proposals.
• Lead project meetings and align with client needs and status updates.
• Provide performance feedback to management and project team.
• Produce project reports for team, management, and client.
• Deliver accurate financial reports with backup for SOX requirements.
• Maintain financial controls to ensure profitability and cash flow.
• Ensure timely invoicing and collection.
