Job summary

CDM Smith, in the Perry Group, seeks an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with heavy industrial power/plant expertise. You will define projects, plan schedules, manage budgets, and ensure profitability while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

You will oversee change control, client invoicing, subcontracts, and closeout activities, mentoring junior PMs and coordinating with construction managers on bid and schedule matters.

Qualifications

• Experience with project management methodology including budgets, planning and control.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for clients and team members.
• Ability to interact with multiple levels of staff and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepares statements of work with work breakdown structures and obtains approvals.
• Manages project costs and profitability.
• Reviews and ensures timely client billings and payments; approves subcontractor invoices.
• Monitors project status and escalates risks as needed.
• Manages change using change management protocols.
• Prepares overall project schedule and in-house budgets by group responsibility.
• Leads meetings with stakeholders and provides guidance to engineering disciplines.
• Coordinates submittals to agencies and ensures contract documentation is maintained.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
• Prepares and distributes bid packages and addendums; closes out meetings.
