Job summary

The Perry Group, a CDM Smith company, is seeking an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with substantial experience in heavy industrial power / power plants. You will create project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects, while managing costs and profitability. The role includes coordinating submittals, reviewing documents, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Thirteen (13) or more years of relevant work experience
• PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list)

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepares detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures (budgets) and gains concurrence from stakeholders.
• Manages project costs and profitability.
• Creates and reviews client billings and ensures timely client payment; approves subcontractor/vendor invoices.
• Monitors project status and risks, escalates as needed.
• Manages project change using change management protocols.
• Communicates deadlines, assignments, and objectives to the project team.
• Prepares project schedules/timelines and in-house construction budgets by area.
• Coordinates submittals to agencies; reviews documents.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
