Job summary

Travelers Environmental group provides environmental liability coverage tailored to the needs of manufacturers, laboratories, colleges, and contractors. The Account Executive Officer (AEO), Environment will partner with agents and brokers to provide coverage for new and renewal business based on customers’ needs.

This role is seen as a technical resource with decision-making ability and relationship-building focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; CPCU or other insurance credentials preferred.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience with environmental liability.
• Strong knowledge of environmental liability products and regulatory environment.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to negotiate with agents/brokers.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to develop sales plans and cross-sell opportunities.
• Meet with agents and brokers to market Travelers products; travel as needed for meetings.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative sales skills.
• Develop agency sales plans with MD to implement regional sales plans.
• May assist in training less experienced Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
