Job summary

Travelers is seeking an Account Executive Officer (AEO) for Ocean Marine to partner with agents and brokers in providing coverage for new and renewal business based on customers' needs. This technical role requires decisiveness, attention to detail, and the ability to build relationships across internal teams and external partners to drive profitability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
6–8 years of underwriting experience in Ocean Marine.
Deep knowledge of Ocean Marine products and local market.
Strong critical thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges.
Excellent communication and negotiation with agents/brokers.
CPCU designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage profitability, growth, and retention of a book of business.
Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
Cultivate internal relationships to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
Meet with external partners to market and sell Travelers products and write/retain accounts.
Identify and capture new business opportunities with consultative selling.
