Job summary

Travelers Environmental group seeks an Account Executive Officer (Environment) to partner with agents and brokers, providing environmental liability coverage for new and renewal business. You will assess complex risks, negotiate terms, and build sales plans with internal and external partners to grow profitability while aligning with Travelers’ risk appetite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience in environmental liability.
• Deep knowledge of environmental liability products and regulatory environment.
• Strong critical thinking to identify challenges and make timely decisions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with agents and brokers.
• CPCU designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners to create sales plans.
• Meet with external partners to market and sell Travelers products.
• Travel to meetings as required.
• Develop agency sales plans and partner with MD on regional plans.
• Assist in training and mentoring less experienced Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
