Qualifications

• 15 years of consulting experience in the state of South Carolina.
• Experience with environmental requirements of South Carolina DOT projects and coordination with SCDOT.
• Experience preparing proposals, scopes of work, and fees.
• Wetland plant and soils identification skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and ArcGIS.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of scopes of work, fee proposals, and responses to RFPs
• Engages in other business development opportunities
• Manages projects
• Supports preparation of NEPA documents, including writing environmental setting and impact analyses sections
• Assists and/or manages various state, federal, and local regulatory permit application processes, such as Clean Water Act Section 404/401
• Documents methodologies and findings of research and field investigations
• Characterizes and assesses environmental resources including surface waters, wetlands, forests, streams, soils, plants, and wildlife
• Collects resource data and samples during field investigations
• Analyzes data collected during field investigations
• Determines location, scope, and impacts to natural resources
• Collects field location data using GPS and creates maps using GIS software
• Writes environmental reports and related documents with supervisory input
