Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking a Senior Environmental Specialist in Florida to conduct environmental investigations, wetland impact analyses, and permitting, supporting ecological assessments and restoration projects. Some project management and business development are required.

You will assist in scopes of work, prepare NEPA documents, manage permit applications under CWA/ESA, and produce environmental reports and GIS maps while coordinating with federal, state, and local

Qualifications

• 15+ years of consulting experience in Florida.
• Experience with Florida DOT environmental requirements.
• Wetland/forest/stream delineation and habitat assessment preferred.
• Proficiency with GIS and regulatory permitting.
• Ability to manage projects and contribute to business development.

Responsibilities

• Assist in scopes of work, proposals, and responses to RFPs.
• Manage projects and NEPA documentation.
• Lead regulatory permit applications (CWA/401/ESA etc.).
• Prepare environmental reports, field delineation reports, and GIS maps.
• Collect and analyze field data; support business development initiatives.
• Travel as needed to the southeast U.S. for projects.
