Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) seeks an experienced environmental professional to conduct investigations, evaluate wetlands, and support restoration projects across the Southeast. You will prepare scopes, manage projects, and assist with NEPA compliance while coordinating with agencies.

Responsibilities include field data collection, report writing, and aiding business development. This on-site role requires travel and strong knowledge of environmental regulations in Florida.

Qualifications

• 15 years of consulting experience in Florida
• Florida wetland plant and soil identification skills
• Experience with environmental requirements of Florida DOT projects and coordination with FDOT
• Experience preparing proposals, scopes of work, and fees
• Experience writing NEPA-related documents and environmental assessments

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of scopes of work, fee proposals, and responses to RFPs
• Engages in other business development opportunities
• Manages projects
• Supports preparation of NEPA documents, including writing environmental setting and impact analyses sections
• Assists and/or manages regulatory permit application processes under federal, state, and local agencies
• Writes environmental reports, field delineation reports, and impact assessments
• Documents methodologies and findings of research and field investigations
• Collects resource data and samples during field investigations
