Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. is seeking an experienced environmental professional to conduct investigations, perform wetland impact analyses, and support ecological restoration projects. The role includes project management, proposal development, and coordination with regulatory agencies across the southeastern U.S.

Responsibilities involve NEPA writing, permit applications, field data collection, and report preparation. Travel to client sites and regulatory agencies is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with Florida DOT environmental requirements and FDOT coordination.
• History of managing environmental aspects of transportation and infrastructure projects.
• Experience preparing proposals, scopes of work, and fees.
• 15 years of consulting experience in Florida.
• Florida wetland plant and soil identification skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing scopes of work, fee proposals, and responses to RFPs.
• Engage in business development opportunities.
• Manage projects and coordinate NEPA documents.
• Oversee regulatory permit applications (e.g., Clean Water Act 404/401).
• Write environmental reports, delineation reports, and impact assessments.
• Document methodologies and findings of field investigations.
• Characterize and assess wetlands, waters, soils, and wildlife.
• Collect data and samples in field investigations.
• Travel as needed for field work and business development.
