Job summary

Stantec is seeking a talented environmental professional to lead natural resource assessment and permitting projects in Alabama and the Southeast. You will build client relationships, manage opportunities, and oversee wetland and habitat surveys, NEPA documentation, and related permitting across power, transportation, oil and gas, government, and community sectors.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in an environmental discipline as described.
15–20 years of experience with biological surveys and project management in the southeastern United States.
Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS), Certified Wildlife Biologist (CWB), Certified Ecologist, CEP, or CFP; PMP is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and project management on environmental planning, assessment, and permitting projects for power, transportation, oil and gas, government, and community development clients.
Manage all project stages from conception to completion including cost estimates, budgets, scopes, scheduling, and client coordination.
Develop and maintain client relationships and pursue new business opportunities.
Coordinate environmental field surveys including wetlands, vegetation inventories, wildlife surveys, and habitat assessments.
Review and coordinate regulatory submittals (NEPA, CWA 404/401/408, Endangered Species Act) and state permitting.
