Job summary

Stantec seeks a Senior Environmental Scientist to lead biological field surveys, NEPA planning, and regulatory permitting across AR/OK/LA. You will mentor staff, contribute to proposals, and support business development in a dynamic team.

You will coordinate with agencies, manage field teams during wetland delineation and species surveys, and prepare NEPA documents while ensuring quality across outputs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading biological field surveys and NEPA planning.
• Ability to prepare environmental documents and coordinate with regulatory agencies.
• Strong project-management potential and mentoring capability.

Responsibilities

• Assist with NEPA planning and oversee all project aspects including client contact, budget, schedule, and subcontractors.
• Lead field teams during wetland delineation and species surveys.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and local governments.
• Manage ecological studies and resource surveys.
• Assist in preparing NEPA documentation (EISs, EAs, CEs).
• Ensure quality assurance and regulatory compliance of final products.
• Support client relationship development and new business opportunities.
• Maintain professional networks and associations to broaden client contact base.
• Adhere to HSSE policies and guidelines in all work.
• Provide technical direction and mentoring to staff.
