Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) seeks a Principal Scientist to lead environmental compliance and construction oversight. This role develops department capabilities, oversees stormwater compliance, SWPPP, and related services, and advances client and project growth.

Ideal candidates bring deep expertise, strong communications, and a track record in business development and senior project oversight within environmental consulting services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Hydrogeology with 15–20 years related experience.
• Advanced degree with 20+ years related experience.
• Ability to develop innovative environmental solutions.
• Strong external relationship management for business development.
• Excellent communication for large-group presentations.

Responsibilities

• Secure and oversee environmental services for multiple large projects.
• Lead proposals and marketing efforts to grow department and client base.
• Provide senior review and guidance on project work.
• Maintain client relationships and coordinate staff with client contacts.
